hi! I just loaded a roll of FP4 in my grandpa's Franka Bonafix. I expected to see the arrow in the rear red windows and turning the key I saw it then stopped. now that I've exposed the first frame I don't know how much should I turn to prepare the next 6x9 frame as the back of the film does not show anything... can you tell me how many turns am I expected to do in order not to expose a frame over another? you'd be very kind to help me!
How come you cant see the arrows? Film has slipped off? Unfortunately i have sold my Franka BUT I did an experiment with Moskva 2 which is also 6 x 9 folder so the result should be the same. It takes 2 complete turns to go from a frame to another.
not at all, I can clearly see the paper back scrolling but I don't see anything into the small red circular windows... I saw the starting arrow and turned until it reached the second red window (meaning the takeup spool side one) then I shot and turned to scroll to the next frame.I expected to see another arrow, or numbers, but I just see white paper... pretty strange. I'll stick to the two-turns rule though I don't know if this first frame will be superimposed by the second exposure, I don't remember how much I turned! thanks a lot I'll let you know!
my update: I just hadn't turned enough... afetr having turned the key two times I started to see the small dotted circles and then the numbers started to appear. So now I suspect that the first two shots I did were lost because the film hadn't been advanced enough! that's all perfectly working now, thanks for having solved my doubts. I didn't want to make clueless turns till the end of the film without being able to shoot a single frame! I'll let you see the pictures!

Hey Poopy!
I´ve just found my Dad´s Franka Bonafix. Very inspiring pictures! I really think I should try out the camera. What kind of film did you use?
Ofcourse you have to try it!
I've been usind Ilford Delta 400 and Kodak Portra bw400cn with my Franka but any 120mm roll film will do just fine.
